123 Klan c’est quoi ? Bah c’est un clan comme le nom l’indique ou plutôt un collectif pour être plus précis, et en fait les mecs viennent du nord de la France, du côté de Dunkerque plus exactement, oui chez les ch’tis y’a des incestes mais y’a du talent aussi. Fondé en 1992 par Scien et Klor, le « Klan » décide de s’installer à Montréal en 2007 et de créer par la suite leur marque « Bandit-1$M« . »L’origine du nom vient du fait que le graffiti est considéré comme un crime, et que 123klan fait de l’argent avec le crime, alors cela s’appelle du Bandit-1$M. » (source : wikipedia) Tout ce que j’ai à vous dire c’est que vous retrouverez très souvent du graff (non pas du graphisme), parfois du vandal, mais surtout des personnages très minimalistes dans le style de ceux que l’on peut retrouver sur les murs d’un peu toutes les villes du monde. Dans la plupart de leurs illustrations on ressent toujours un petit côté street, une bombe de peinture par ci, un tag par là, comme pour nous montrer qu’ils n’oublient pas d’où ils viennent malgré les collaborations avec certains grands noms de ce monde (Nike, Carhartt, Capcom…). Well, as its name suggests, it’s a clan or more precisely a collectives of artists. These guys actually come from the north of France —on the side of Dunkerque— and even if those that here in France we name “ch’tis” are pretty familiar with incest, sometimes these dudes know how to be talented too. Therefore they decided to call themselves “Bandit-1$M”. All I have to tell you is that you will often find some graff (not graphic design!) and sometimes some vandal bombing art. However, there are some really minimalist characters just like those that you can see on the walls of every cities all around the world.
