On y arrive, plus que deux jours avant le 3 décembre, date cruciale pour nous chimistes car The Chemistry aura 1 an tout pile. 1 an de publications quotidiennes, d’échanges journaliers avec vous lecteurs et amoureux de musiques, de mode ou d’art. C’est un grand moment pour nous et on est fiers de le partager avec tout le monde.
C’est aussi le moment de faire le point, de prendre du recul sur cette année. The Chemistry c’est actuellement 22 personnes, entre rédacteurs et traducteurs/correcteurs, certains sont là depuis le début, d’autres sont arrivés en cours de route et d’autres ne sont plus parmi nous mais ont contribué de par leurs articles à l’évolution de The Chemistry, et on ne pouvait écrire ce texte sans remercier Romain, Elena, Sarah, Elodie, Félix, Julien, Nassim, Morgane, Axelle, Amel, Paul, Benjamin, Krème, Léo, Yoann, Joseph, Flore, Eric, Laurent, Martin, Yann, Mendel, Alec, Olivier, Pieral, Fabien, Marie, Greg, Adeline, Yann, Etienne, Sébastien, Marianne, Margaux, Caesar, Donovan pour leur travail et leur passion pour leurs disciplines respectives et surtout pour le temps qu’ils dépensent bénévolement pour vous. C’est grâce à eux que chaque jour vous avez votre dose de culture à lire, à découvrir et à écouter sur The Chemistry. Merci à eux.
Mais The Chemistry ne serait rien également sans toi cher lecteur (on va pas se vouvoyer après un an côte à côte). Vous êtes de plus en plus nombreux à nous lire, à nous écrire, à rejoindre nos pages facebook, twitter…, à partager avec nous vos coups de cœur, à soutenir nos publications, nos projets et c’est ce qui nous motive le plus. Merci à vous tous (oui aujourd’hui on vomit de l’amour sur vous).
The Chemistry a comme fil conducteur l’expérimentation, entre média hyper pointu et média grand public, The Chemistry creuse sa place entre deux, ne cherchant ni à plaire à tout prix, ni à se laisser dicter sa conduite. Depuis un an nous partageons avec vous nos coups de cœur, nos recherches et nos pépites, peu importe le style, le genre, la couleur ou le goût, tout y passe tant qu’on y trouve de l’intérêt. Et la formule semble vous plaire, ça tombe bien on ne la changera pas pour 2013.
Une petite première année donc qui passe et qui s’ouvre sur une deuxième, et si on fait les comptes on arrive à une cinquantaine d’interviews, une quinzaine de podcasts répartis en 2 séries, une tonne de reviews d’albums, de présentations d’artistes, de créateurs, de marques, une playlist mensuelle, des centaines de cadeaux et de places à gagner et ce n’est qu’une partie de l’inventaire. Une très belle année pour nous donc et qui, on l’espère, sera aussi fructueuse pour 2013. De nombreux projets verront le jour, toujours plus d’interviews, de podcasts et de partage avec vous, de nouvelles extensions et beaucoup d’autres choses seront donc à retrouver. On compte sur vous, sur votre soutien et on espère bien que vous resterez accrochés à la barque encore longtemps.

Here we are, two days until December 3rd, a crucial day for us since The Chemistry will celebrate its first anniversary. A whole year made of publications and daily communication with you all, music, fashion and art lovers. This is a very special moment for us and we are proud to share it with everyone. It’s also the time to do a little bit of an update and to think about what we have achieved during this past year.
Currently, The Chemistry works thanks to 22 people, from editors to translators and proofreaders. Some have been on board since the very beginning, some joined us along the way and others are gone. But they all contributed, through their articles, to the evolution of The Chemistry. I couldn’t write this without giving special thanks to Romain, Elena, Sarah, Elodie, Félix, Julien, Nassim, Morgane, Axelle, Amel, Paul, Benjamin, Krème, Léo, Yoann, Joseph, Flore, Eric, Laurent, Martin, Yann, Mendel, Alec, Olivier, Pieral, Fabien, Marie, Greg, Adeline, Yann, Etienne, Sébastien, Marianne, Margaux, Caesar and Donovan for their work and their passion and most of all, for all the time they spend for you, voluntarily. But The Chemistry would be nothing without you, dear faithful readers. There’s more and more of you that follow us, read us, and even write to us everyday through our Facebook, Twitter pages. Thanks for sharing your favorite discoveries with us, for supporting our publications and our projects because that is what is the most rewarding for us. Huge thanks to you all – if it is not clear enough by now, the word today is: spread the love!
Experiment is The Chemistry’s central thread. The Chemistry makes a niche for itself between highly specialized and general Medias: it does neither try to please everyone at any cost nor let people dictate its management.
For a year we share with you our heart-stops, our researches and our little wonder. Style, genre, color and taste don’t matter as long as it presents some interest. And eventually, you seem to like the formula, which is quite a good thing, because we won’t change it for 2013.
Hence, first year is over, second is just getting started. If we do the math, we made about fifty interviews, about fifteen podcasts spread in two series, tons of album reviews, presentations of artists, designers, brands, a monthly playlist, hundreds of gifts and tickets to win… This list is non exhaustive.
Thus it was a very good year for us and we hope it will go on like this in 2013! There will be a lot of new projects, more and more interviews, podcasts, and shares with you, new extensions etc. We count on you, on your support, and we definitely hope that you’ll stay around for a long time.
