Dave Okumu, Tom Herbert (basse et synthé) et Leo Taylor (batterie) forment le groupe The Invisible depuis 2006. Bien que leur collaboration remonte à plus loin, c’est suite à la sortie de leur excellent nouvel album « Rispah » sur Ninja Tuneque nous avons décidé d’inviter le trio dans notre podcast.

Si le nom de The Invisible ne vous parle pas, il n’en reste pas moins que vous les avez déjà croisés. Quand ils ne composent pas sous ce nom, ils participent à de nombreux projets comme co-écrire et produire l’album de Jessie Ware (Okumu), jouer avec les légendes du post-jazz anglais Polar Bear (Herbert) ou jouer de la batterie sur la plupart des chansons du deuxième album au succès mondial d’Adèle « 21» (Taylor).

La tracklist est pointue et offre son lot de surprises, de Aphex Twin à Prince en passant par DamFunk, The Time et j’en passe. C’est un sans faute pour The Invisible qui signe là le tome 4 de notre série de podcast « The Chemix« .

Dave Okumu, Tom Herbert (bass & synthesizer) and Leo Taylor (drums) make up the band The Invisible since 2006. Though their collaboration dates back to far long-past, we decided to invite the trio to our podcast after Ninja Tune brought out their great new album “Rispah”.

Even if the name The Invisible doesn’t sound familiar to you yet, you certainly have already met them. When they don’t compose with this name, they collaborate to a lot of projects like co-writing & producing the album of Jessie Ware (Okumu), or playing with the icons of English post-jazz Polar Bear (Herbert), or even playing drums on most of the tracks of Adele’s worldwide known & successful second album “21” (Taylor).

Tracklist is precise and offers a bunch of surprises, from Aphex Twin to Prince, through DamFunk, The Time, and so on. This is a flawless round for The Invisible who signalled here the 4th edition of our series of podcasts “The Chemix”.
